SUDHINDRA SMRUTI BHAVAN

Kochi, Gosreepuram is one of the largest settlements of Konkanies who were displaced from their homeland Goa in the 16^th century due to religious persecution. The culture and traditions of the communities can still be seen and the Konkani language can be heard on the narrow streets of Cherlai. Cochin Thirumala Devaswom, the biggest temple of Gowda Saraswath Brahmins in the world is situated here. The origin of Shree Kashi Math Samsthan one of the prominent religious orders of GSBs is credited to Gosreepuram.

The world famous Hortus Indicus Malabaricus, a 12-volume medicinal treatise penned by Appu Bhat, Ranga Bhat and Vinayak Pandit under the Dutch colonial rule in the 17^th century had taken place in this settlement and their monument erected by Anugraha Charitable Trust can be seen adjacent to the temple. The Trust also runs Senior Citizens Home, free homes for men and women, a 38 flat free housing complex, a prestigious convention hall and many welfare schemes for medical and educational assistance.

SUDHINDRA SMRUTI BHAVAN is yet another prestigious project of Anugraha Charitable Trust, Ernakulam dedicated to commemorate the birth centenary celebrations of Vrindavanasth Mahaguru Shrimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji.
